"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it"

Edith Wharton

Fan Fiction is a mirror.  At its best it can be a prism, that reflects and refines the light that came from the original author, extending the story by looking at it from a slightly different vantage point.

"Rupp's Skizzenbuch" is a derivative work based on "The Blue Max" written by Jack D. Hunter in 1964.  This work is fan fiction / fan art and a non-commercial effort.  I have no copyright or trademark rights to the original story.  I have attempted to keep in touch with the family of Mr. Hunter and be respectful of their wishes as this project develops.

I have added a copyright statement to the website to protect the work that is original, and use the statement of "limited rights reserved" to be clear that I have no rights to "The Blue Max" story.  The desktop, the journal and the contents of "Rupp's Skizzenbuch" are all original work by me, based on the novel's storyline and characters created by Mr. Hunter.

Within the journal and the website there are places where non-original work is incorporated.  I have attempted to use materials that are non-copyrighted and where I have not, have carefully documented all my resources and given credit in the attached document below.

More than just giving credit where it is due, the document also gives some insight on how the pages where built and where artifacts or documents came from.

I hope you enjoy the website and the project itself.
